EKO Perdirbimas UAB implements a project
"Modernisation of the technological process of raw material processing for improving the energy efficiency of a company"
Total project value EUR 2 752 420, of which EUR 899 950 from the European Regional Development Fund.
Project implementation period - from 7 August 2023 to 31 August 2025
The project will contribute to reducing primary energy consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The year-on-year increase in energy consumption and the increase in energy prices are encouraging the company to assess its energy consumption and the opportunities to use energy more efficiently by improving energy efficiency. It also encourages the company to look for the introduction of various measures, technologies and processes that are environmentally friendly and reduce GHG emissions, in the light of the global trend towards sustainable consumption and environmental friendliness, both among competitors and end users. EKO Perdirbimas has carried out an energy audit and, following its recommendations, plans to implement a solution for the modernisation of the raw material sorting process, which will allow it to consume energy more efficiently and to reduce the company's emissions of GHGs.
The project is being implemented under the European Union Funds Investment Programme for the period 2021-2027, Progress Measure 05-001-01-04-02 "Encouraging enterprises to move towards a climate-neutral economy", under the activity "Improving energy efficiency in industrial enterprises".
EKO Perdirbimas UAB is implementing the project "Modernisation of the plastics production process through technological eco-innovations".
Shaping Lithuania's future
The project aims to introduce new technological eco-innovations that reduce negative environmental impacts and conserve natural resources. The project will invest in cleaner production technologies, upgrade the company's current products to make them more environmentally friendly, introduce new products from waste, reduce the amount of waste produced, save natural resources, reduce environmental pollution, increase productivity and improve product quality.
The project is implemented under the measure No 03.3.2-LVPA-K-837 "Eco-innovations LT+" of Priority 3 "Promoting the Competitiveness of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises" of the Operational Programme for Investment of the European Union Funds 2014-2020.
The project is financed by €1.5 million from the European Regional Development Fund.
The project will run from 11 April 2019 to 31 January 2023.
